With a classical training in painting and drawing (The Art Institute of Chicago), Master’s study of percussive textiles (University of Washington) then on to trifles with technology (University of Montana), Matlock makes drawings, movies, sculpture and installation. In her work, she primarily scrutinizes and sublimates the clutches and skirmishes of memory and the mundane.
